 Itinerary

Day One: Arrival in Luxor + Comprehensive Tour of Luxor

Once you arrive at the Luxor Airport our professional and experienced tour representatives will be waiting for you to start this 3 Days journey.  

Start your tour by exploring the wonders of the West Bank of Luxor. You will visit the Valley of the Kings. This ancient burial site was used for more than 500 years to host the dead bodies of the kings of Egypt starting from the 16th century BC. You will find the most impressive tombs belong to Tut Ankh Amun, Thutmose III, and Ramses III.

Your next stop at the West Bank of Egypt will be to Temple of Hatshepsut. This is considered among the most charming examples of mortuary temples to be built in Egypt. It was established by Queen Hatshepsut more than 3500 years ago. The temple includes many marvelous sections like the Chapel of Anubis, the Chapel of Hathour, the notable statues of the Queen disguised as a male pharaoh, and many other places to explore.

Going on with this journey, you will visit Colossi of Memnon. These two huge statues which represent one of the most popular landmarks of the West Bank of Luxor are the only remaining parts of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. They took their famous name during the Roman period.

Let’s have a delicious Lunch afterwards in one of the best local restaurants in Luxor.

Continue the journey by exploring the most marvelous historical sites of the East Bank of Luxor.

First you will visit the Luxor Temple. This temple represents an open-air museum of ancient Egyptian art and architecture as it was established during the 14th century BC. You will find there a great variety of constructions and layouts as many rulers of Egypt had their own sections at the temple including Alexander the Great.

Then your next step is the Karnak Temple which is the largest and most amazing temple of ancient Egypt. The special about this marvelous temple is that the construction took more than 2000 years to be completed as each king of Egypt wanted his own contribution to be added to the Karnak.

Now today has reached an end and you will transfer to your desired hotel in Luxor to spend a relaxing night, check in and overnight.

Day Two: Tour to Edfu & Kom Ombo + Aswan Tours

At the early morning you will be having the most delicious and refreshing breakfast at your hotel.

Then it’s the time to check out the hotel in Luxor and get ready for more fun in this marvelous vacation in Egypt.

The first step of the day will be to the great Temple of Horus in Edfu. This temple is the biggest and best-preserved Ptolemaic temple in Egypt. The temple includes wonderfully decorated walls and stone capitals which were completed during the 1st century AD after 300 years of construction work.

Continues this journey by exploring the wonders of the Temple of Kom Ombo.  It is one of a kind in Egypt as the temple consisted, internally, of two complete temples; the first dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, while the other is dedicated to the god Haroeris. It was established more than 2000 years ago.  

Let’s head to the south and visit the city of gold, Aswan. This city is famous for its warm weather, marvelous views of the River Nile, and distinctive historical sites.

Check in at your hotel in Aswan and get ready to explore the wonders of the charming city of Aswan. 

The first destination in Aswan will be to the High Dam, the most astonishing architectural achievement accomplished in contemporary Egypt. The dam was established more than 50 years ago to preserve the River Nile water and produce a considerable portion of Egypt’s electricity.

Moving on in this journey you will be exploring the Philae Temple. Established more than 2000 years ago for the cult of the worship of the goddess Isis. This temple is featured with its beautiful pillars’ heads and the huge impressive pylons which will definitely impress you.

Then to the incredible site of the Unfinished Obelisk.  Which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of the city of Aswan. If completed, the unfinished obelisk would have been the largest piece of stone humans ever dealt with, which made it an incredible place to visit.

At the end of this amazing day in Luxor and Aswan, you will be heading back to your hotel in Aswan for a relaxing night.

Day Three: Abu Simbel Temple Tour

Check out the hotel in Aswan early in the morning to start today’s tour towards Abu Simbel.

We will be travelling in very comfortable air conditioned vehicles towards Abu Simbel in a ride that takes around 3 hours.

Now it's time to explore the secrets of one of the most magnificent temples of ancient Egypt, the Temple of Abu Simbel. the greatest temples of ancient Egypt to be built in Nubia. This temple was constructed by Ramses II and featured with its rock curved façade that contain four huge statues of the king. There is also the never less amazing smaller temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari. The whole complex was dismantled, transferred, and rebuilt in its current location in the 1970s after the construction of the High Dam.

After visiting this charming temple of ancient Egypt, you will be driving back to the Aswan Airport with lots of happy memories.
