Itinerary
We embark the Dahabiya Nile Cruise ship in Aswan for a marvelous journey from Aswan to Luxor.
We start this marvelous Nile cruise package in Egypt by visiting the most wonderful historical sites in Aswan.
The first place we explore in Aswan is the Philae Temple. One of the most important centers for the worship of the goddess Isis. Constructed in the 1st century BC, it is among the most interesting ancient sites in Egypt. The whole complex was transferred to its current location in Agilkia Island after the building of the High Dam.
We would be visiting the High Dam, constructed to restore the water of the River Nile and produce electricity, the dam was built more than 50 years ago by the help of the Soviet Union. Today, it is one of the popular sties included in many travel packages to Egypt.
Our last visit of the day will be to the Unfinished Obelisk, which was found in the granite quarry in the Southern part of the city of Aswan. If completed, the unfinished obelisk would have been the largest piece of stone humans ever dealt with.

Named after the Greek hero, Memnon, one of these two statues used to make some humming noises. They believed they were of the mother of Memnon crying after the death of her son.
