Itinerary

The first place you explore in Aswan is the Philae Temple. One of the most important centers for the worship of the goddess Isis. Constructed in the 1st century BC, it is among the most interesting ancient sites in Egypt. The Egyptian government transferred the whole complex to its current location in Agilkia Island after the building of the High Dam.
You would be visiting the High Dam. Former Egyptian president, Gamal Abdel El Nasser constructed the dam to restore the water of the River Nile and produce electricity more than 50 years ago by the help of the Soviet Union. Today, it is one of the popular sties included in many travel packages to Egypt.
Your last visit of the day will be to the Unfinished Obelisk. Archeologists found it in the granite quarry in the Southern part of the city of Aswan. If completed, the unfinished obelisk would have been the largest piece of stone humans ever dealt with.
